How to Stay Motivated as a Health Coach

“Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.” -Winston Churchill

As a health coach, it is your job to inspire and motivate your clients to be better and continue crushing their goals.

But how do you stay motivated as a coach? Who’s pushing you to be better and crush your goals?

Oftentimes, you’re the one who has to keep pushing yourself

It is completely normal to hit low points as a coach in your career where you’re feeling unmotivated and uninspired. We’ve all been there! If you’re reading this and looking for ways to get out of a rut and stay motivated, then let this be your little nudge in a positive direction. Here are some ways to find motivation as a health coach!

Rediscover your “why”

Motivation starts on the inside. And it starts when you ask yourself the question- why am I doing this? What made you want to become a health coach in the first place? Why did you put in the work to get where you are today? If you’re experiencing difficulty finding the motivation to keep going down this career path or you’re battling with self-doubt in your abilities, spend a few days thinking about and jotting down your whys. Writing them down on paper can help you visualize your mission and rediscover that passion that helped you start coaching in the first place.

Tiny steps in the right direction

While rediscovering motivation starts on the inside, small action steps every day will keep you motivated and committed to reaching your goals. Many times throughout our careers, we feel this massive pressure to constantly accomplish big goals and hit milestones. This constant pressure can weigh us down and give us fears and anxieties that can bring down our confidence and motivation levels. Stop thinking about the big end goals and start thinking about the tiny steps you can take today. Small, consistent steps lead to progress which leads to accomplished goals.

Find accountability and community

Earlier, we said that motivation must often come from within yourself, but it doesn’t always need to. If you’re struggling to find that inner motivation, lean on the community around you. Find an accountability buddy that you can meet with regularly and share your goals and your struggles. Watch how much of an impact a close-knit community and accountability partner can make a difference in your life and in the health of your career.

If you are currently looking for that community and accountability, then you’re exactly in the right place! Here at Flowell, we believe in the power of community to help reach your goals not only for your health and wellness but for your business. We win together.
